On Thursday June 4, 2015 members of the High River RCMP Detachment responded to a complaint of a suspicious male in the rural area near Blackie, Alberta.
The individual was located and provided an implausible explanation as to his activities in this area.
Investigators followed up and have determined that he is linked to property crimes in the Blackie area including possession of stolen property and theft of a vehicle, mail theft from the Millarville area, additional property crimes in Calgary and Olds.
Investigators are currently following up with the various jurisdictions to identify complaints and vicitms.
The 30 year male is currently in custody and will be facing a number of charges in relation to these offences. He is from the Blackie area.
This arrest is a perfect example of community members working with the police in exercising diligence in keeping their community safe and crime free.
