On March 31st, 2016, at approximately 8:30 pm, High River RCMP were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 2 northbound underneath the Highway 23 overpass on the east side of High River. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2015 Mazda 3 was traveling northbound on Highway 2 when it lost control and entered the centre median where it rolled and collided with one of the concrete overpass supports. A 48 year old Calgary male was taken to hospital with what appears to be non life-threatening injuries. High River Fire and EMS were on scene to assist. A black Labrador retriever dog was also an occupant of the vehicle and was not injured in the crash. The male driver was wearing his seat belt.
