High River Operations to Begin Spring Residential Road Cleanup in April

HIGH RIVER, AB: The Town of High River operations department will begin their annual residential street sweeping program in April to remove sanding materials and other debris that has accumulated on roads during the winter months.

The street cleaning program began in early March on major thoroughfares, downtown, and town-owned parking lots.

Residential streets will be swept in the following order: Northwest, Northeast, Southeast and Southwest.

Signs will be posted in all residential areas 24 hours prior to sweeping. The Town of High River asks residents to please not park vehicles on the street while the area is being swept.

It will take approximately 6-8 weeks, subject to weather, to complete the initial sweeping of residential streets around town.

Motorists should drive with caution when passing street sweepers and parents are advised to keep children away from all street sweeping operations.

The sweeping program will continue throughout the summer to help alleviate dust and debris caused by the added construction in High River.
