High River First Responders Charity Checkstop

High River, Alberta  On the afternoon of December 10th, 2015 the High River and Area First Responders conducted their 3rd Annual Charity checkstop.  This years event was a huge success and the proceeds will be shared between Rowan House and Foothill Victims Services.  All food items have already been turned over the Salvation Army for their food bank.  In total, those who passed through the charity checkstop generously donated $6290.29 in cash and gift cards and a truck bed of groceries.  

All the first responders would like to expressed their gratitude to those who made this event such a resounding success financial, and to those who through advertising or donations supported us.  Our thanks to Tim Hortons, the Alberta Treasury Branch, the High River Times, Sun Country 99.7 and AM 1140.
