HIGH RIVER, AB: The Town of High River Fire Department is responding to a fire at the Medicine Tree Manor located at 9 Street S.W. Crews were called to the scene at approximately 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15 and are working to contain the fire.
There are currently no injuries reported. Residents of the nearby Soderberg House have been evacuated as a precaution.
Emergency crews have cordoned off a two block radius around the fire. Twelfth Avenue S.W. has been reduced to one lane of alternating traffic. There is still access to the High River hospital.
Residents are asked to please avoid the area. At this time the cause of the fire is unknown.
