High River Carnival Cancelled But a Local Church Steps Up to Fill the Gap

barbecue-clip-artThe Carnival and Midway that was planned in High River for September 5th to 7th has had to be cancelled. The company, A-1 Midway, that supplies the rides, etc is unable to keep their commitment due to unforeseen circumstances.

There is good news for the families of High River. The Salvation Army church is having a carnival and BBQ in their parking lot on September 6th from 2 to 6pm. They promise “lots of games and stuff for older people as well as young kids and also moms and babies. There is stuff for everyone. And best of all IT’S FREE!”

The Church is located at 117 2nd Ave SE. That’s East of the Salvation Army store; easy to find.

Thanks to the Salvation Army Church for filling in and providing a great afternoon for the family!
