Four schools in the High Country – Millarville, Turner Valley, C. Ian McLaren and Longview – participated in wrestling clinics and a mini-tourney April 5-7. Thanks to financial support from the Black Diamond Amateur Wrestling Association, students worked with wrestling coaches Kelly Delany and Andy Ross. Schools then gathered at C. Ian McLaren on April 7 for a mini tournament. The competition was fun and fierce with all 219 students enjoying their introduction to this sport. Thanks go out to the Okotoks Wrestling Club for providing transportation and wrestling mats, and Mrs. Monica Sturgeson and the C. Ian McLaren Hot Lunch Moms for providing a delicious and nutritious lunch!
