Heaven Can Wait volunteers and some shelter dogs were joined by some talented musicians and entertainers as well as High River fire fighters on Saturday. There were fun stuff for the kids, dogs to pet, good music and tasty BBQ and fire fighters carrying out groceries and lugging donations in front of Sobeys in High River.
According to Kim Hessel, Founder of Heaven Can Wait, they raised close to $8000 that day. Donations continue to pour in for the dogs and the shelter is happy to keep receiving them. Kim said the dogs are doing great and she’s keeping everyone posted on Facebook as to their progress. Right now the greatest need is funds towards the cost of their care, both the short and longterm, as well as Gastro dry and canned food, cleaning supplies and bedding.
Donations can made by mail to Heaven Can Wait, by email transfer firstname.lastname@example.org or credit card by phone (403-660-4744).
