HIGH RIVER, AB: Heartland film crews are returning to High River for the final round of filming this season and a brief road closure on 3 Ave. S.W. will be required on the morning of November 16.
Crews will be arriving in the downtown area on Friday, Nov. 13. They will be parking their vehicles and equipment in the gravel lot in the alley off of 4 Ave. and on the gravel area behind the Museum of the Highwood.
On Monday, Nov. 16 filming will begin outside of the ‘Maggie’s Diner’ set at approximately 8 a.m. Scenes will require temporary traffic diversions and a short-term road closure on 3 Ave. S.W. in order to film exterior and driving scenes. Crews will also need to close off some of the parking areas and detour pedestrians as needed.
After filming is completed, crews will remove all equipment and vehicles and filming is expected to resume next season. Questions or concerns regarding filming can be directed to Brian Dunne, Location Manager 403.660.9583.
