Heartland Filming in High River Oct 19-22

HIGH RIVER, AB: Heartland film crews will once again return to High River on Monday, October 19 and will be in the downtown area until the evening of Thursday, October 22.

On Monday, October 19 crews will be parking equipment and vehicles along the former railway tracks and gravel area between 1st and Centre Street S.W. and in the gravel lot and alley off of 4 Avenue S.W.

Filming begins at the ‘Maggie’s Diner’ set on Tuesday, October 20 at 8 a.m. and will continue in the downtown area on 3 and 4 Avenues for the three full days. Crews may need to detour traffic, parking and pedestrians as needed.

The alleyways between the ‘Maggie’s’ set and the Vespucci building and beside Cottonwood Bridal will also be used for filming, as well as the street in front of Evelyn’s Memory Lane Cafe.

After filming is completed, crews will remove all equipment and vehicles until their next filming date in early November. Questions or concerns regarding filming can be directed to Brian Dunne, Location Manager 403.660.9583.

Entering its ninth season, Heartland is a long running, multi-generational saga about a family getting through life together in both happy and trying times. Set against the magnificent backdrop of the foothills of southern Alberta, Heartland is filmed in High River as well as on nearby private-property locations and on a studio set in Calgary.
