Heartland Filming in High River June 19 and 22

High River, AB: The Town of High River is honoured to once again stand in as the fictional community of Hudson on the popular television series Heartland as crews continue filming season 9.

Crews will arrive in High River on the evening of Friday, June 19 and begin setting up equipment and vehicles along the former railway tracks and gravel area between 1st and Centre Street S.W. Crews  will also park equipment and trucks in the gravel lot in the alley between 3 Avenue and 4 Avenue S.W.

On the morning of Monday, June 22 filming will begin at approximately 7 a.m. on 12 Avenue and 530 Avenue west of High River. Crews will film at this location until approximately 11 a.m.

In the afternoon, crews will move the equipment and trucks to the gravel lot in the alley between 3 Avenue and 4 Avenue S.W. and continue filming inside the Maggie’s Diner set for the remainder of the day.

Filming and production crews will employ every option to limit the impact that filming may have on residents and all possible considerations will be made to accommodate local traffic and emergency vehicles.

Entering its ninth season, Heartland is a long running, multi-generational saga about a family getting through life together in both happy and trying times. Set against the magnificent backdrop of the foothills of southern Alberta, Heartland is filmed in High River as well as on nearby private-property locations and on a studio set in Calgary.
