Heartland to Begin Filming Season 10 on May 17


Downtown High River - aerialHIGH RIVER, AB: Heartland film crews will once again return to High River on Monday, May 16 and will be in the downtown area until the evening of Tuesday, May 17.

On Monday, May 16 crews will be parking equipment and vehicles along the former railway tracks and gravel area between 1st and Centre Street S.W. and in the gravel lot and alley off of 4 Avenue S.W.

Filming begins at the ‘Maggie’s Diner’ set on Tuesday, May 17 at 7 a.m. and will continue throughout the day until 7 p.m. Crews may need to perform some intermittent traffic control in between re-setting camera angles, but disruptions should be minimal.

The alleyway between the ‘Maggie’s’ set and the Vespucci building will also be used during filming.

After filming is completed, crews will remove all equipment and vehicles until their next filming date in June. Questions or concerns regarding filming can be directed to Brian Dunne, Location Manager 403.660.9583.

Entering its tenth season, Heartland is a long running, multi-generational saga about a family getting through life together in both happy and trying times. Set against the magnificent backdrop of the foothills of southern Alberta, Heartland is filmed in High River as well as on nearby private-property locations and on a studio set in Calgary.
