HIGH RIVER, AB: The Town of High River’s gravel surfacing remediation program work is scheduled to begin the week of July 14, 2014. The program, which is funded by the Disaster Relief Program, includes removing and replacing gravel in the north parking lot of the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex and in back lanes in all areas of town that were flooded in 2013. The work was awarded to ALSA Road Construction Ltd. following a competitive tender process.
Residents will be notified approximately four to five days prior to work beginning in their back lane. Door flyers will list actions residents will need to take including, removing items from back lanes such as vehicles, motorhomes and trailers, and garbage and recycling bins.
Pending utility locates and weather, the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex parking lot work may begin July 16th followed by lanes in McLaughlin Meadows and Old Rodeo Grounds areas in the southwest after July 18th. Each lane is expected to take about two to three days to complete.
Residents are reminded to keep a safe distance from the construction site and equipment during this work. ALSA will be following the Town’s noise bylaw regulations for construction, which permits work from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Saturdays, and if required 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays and statutory holidays.
Updates will be posted on the Town’s website and social media channels.
