On November 25, 2014. around 14:30hrs, The Gleichen RCMP responded to a fatal workplace injury
RCMP attended a job site 3km’s south of highway 901 by the Bow River near Carsland Alberta. A worker was removing a temporary bridge at the time and working along side another employee, who was using an excavator to pull cement blocks away from the river.
The two workers were operating heavy equipment when the accident occurred. It appears the victim was crushed during the accident. An Occupational health and Safety Officer is also investigating the incident.
