George Lane Park’s New Centennial Stage to be Installed in early April

Stage panelsThe redesigned Centennial Stage in George Lane Park will be installed in early April as fabrication work is almost complete.
Local artists were invited to submit proposals for the redesign of the stage last March.

The winning design, created by John Greg Ball, was selected through a public voting process.
The original stage was constructed to commemorate Canada’s centennial in 1967 and is used for large outdoor events such as Canada Day celebrations and outdoor concerts. The Town of High River would like to thank Rotary International for funding this project.
