In the photograph above, Foothills Lion Club’s 1st-Vice President, Diane Bray presents a cheque to Ben Pond of the Calgary Nova Lions Club.
The cheque, for $1,000 dollars will help the two-year old Nova Lions Club off-set the cost of sponsoring two youths in the Lions International Student Exchange Program.
Ben commented that the youth of today will benefit from this exchange program by understanding and experiencing other cultures. They will make a difference and carry on the spirit of Lionism in the future.
