Foothills County Reduces Fire Restriction to Fire Advisory

Foothills Fire Advisory

Fire Restriction has been reduced to Fire Advisory.

Foothills County has received enough moisture to move to an Advisory. Moisture levels and fire risk will continue to be monitored throughout the County.

Fire permits are now being issued, but may be cancelled at any time with little to no notice. Although this is not a Fire Ban, the County asks citizens to use extra caution and be extra vigilant when burning while the Advisory is in effect. Soaking the area adjacent to the fire pits with water is recommended.

Citizens are also reminded that obtaining a fire permit is mandatory at all times. Online burning permits available here.

If conditions change, the County may impose a Fire Ban or Restriction at any time. When a Fire Ban or Restriction is imposed, you must immediately and fully extinguish your fire.
