Foothills Communities Close Playgrounds for the Safety of Everyone

Town of Black Diamond

Use of Town playgrounds and fitness equipment prohibited to prevent transmission of COVID-19

Places that are closed:
• Playgrounds
• Fitness Park
• Outdoor Rink
• Scott Seaman Sports Rink (SSSR)
• Oilfields Regional Arena
• Skateboard Park

Town of Black Diamond parks (green spaces) remain open.
Residents are encouraged to enjoy time outdoors.
To avoid the risk of transmission, follow all health precautions.

• Stay home if you are sick.
• If an area is busy, please move to a different area.
• Step off a pathway or trail when others approach.
• DO NOT use parks or public spaces in groups.
• Maintain at least 2 meters (6 feet) physical distance between users.
• Do not touch any surfaces.
• Use proper hand hygiene at all times.
• Wash and sanitize your hands frequently
• Do not touch your face

Town of Turner Valley

The playgrounds in Turner Valley have been closed until further notice to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Playgrounds reduce social distancing and we are unable to disinfect any of the equipment.

Town of High River

Use of all Town playgrounds and fitness equipment is prohibited until further notice. Please do your part to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Town Parks remain open. Residents are encouraged to get outside and enjoy nature. Please follow all health precautions while out in public spaces. If an area is busy, please move to another area. Do not gather in groups. Town of Okotoks

Town playgrounds and Okotoks Skate Park have closed to limit the spread of COVID-19. We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage the use of nearby parks. Don’t forget to practice social distancing by keeping two (2) metres from others.
