High River, AB: Fargo S2 Productions Inc. will be in High River from April 20 until May 8 to film the season’s final episodes of the television series Fargo airing on the FX network.
Primary filming will take place on April 29, 30 as well as May 1, 4, and 5 – 8 at the High River Motor Hotel located at 121 5 Avenue S.W. Crews will be filming night time scenes at this location and around the downtown core during the hours of 9 p.m. – 6 a.m.
These scenes will involve a large amount of fake gunfire. In order to appropriately measure the noise levels, crews will first complete testing of the fake gunfire during the week of April 20 between the hours of 6 – 10 p.m.
The heavy nighttime fake gunfire noise is scheduled to occur May 4 – 6. All other filming dates may have limited disruptions caused by lighting and vehicle noise.
Fargo representatives will employ every option to limit the impact that filming may have on residents and all possible considerations will be made to accommodate local traffic and emergency vehicles.
Representatives from FARGO the Series will have an information booth at the upcoming High River Trade Show on April 24 – 25 at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex. Residents and business owners are invited to stop by with any questions or concerns regarding filming. Concerns can also be directed to Javid Best, Assistant Location Manager at 403-200-4701.
‘FARGO’ is a television series inspired by the award-winning Coen Brothers film of the same name. Although not focusing on the events and characters from the original movie, the series takes place in the same universe as the 1996 cult classic.
