Diamond Valley Fire Department Food Drive

The Black Diamond and Turner Valley Fire Departments will be undertaking their annual Food Drive in support of the Oilfields Food Bank. They’ll work together to cover both towns on the 7th and 8th of November. Please have your non-perishable food donations ready to speed up their collections. A big thank you to the Fire Departments for their annual support of our Food Bank, and to the community, for always making the drive a resounding success.

Date: Monday, November 7 and Tuesday, November 8, 2016
Time: 7:00pm – 9:00pm

Watch for the flashing lights and give generously to our Food Bank.

A word from the Oilfields Food Bank

Food BankDemand at the Food Bank has skyrocketed. – use is up 50% from 2014 & 2015.  Many of the people using the Food Bank have never used it before.

The hardworking Board & volunteers are meeting the need so far & in order to continue to do so have decided they will focus their purchasing power on food items
before anything else.

Donations of non-food items would be greatly appreciated.  They will be distributed along with food.

Needed non-food items:
laundry soap
dish soap
hand soap
toilet paper
shampoo
toothpaste
cleaning supplies

Needed food items:
peanut butter
tinned luncheon meat
tinned veggies (no corn please)
pancake mix & syrup
ground coffee
