Castle Mountain Resort, AB – If it’s fun you are after then the Annual Huckleberry Festival is the place to be on 23rd August, 2014.
The recent warm sunny weather has produced the sweetest berries so grab your berry bucket and visit Castle Mountain Resort for a fantastic family weekend.
Start your day with a hearty pancake breakfast in the Day Lodge then take a ride on the Chairlift up the mountain and pick all the delicious berries on your way down. Waiting in the base area for you will be Live Music on the ‘Huckleberry Stage’ staring Alyssa McQuaid, Treeline & Shaela Miller and Emily Triggs. Other fun activities include a bouncy castle, face painting and a Community Association Silent Auction with craft tables.
Also why not enjoy the BBQ Lunch outside the Day Lodge and stay for the Pig roast/Roast beef dinner in the evening. All the activities are free with a small fee for the chairlift ride and for the food.
This Festival is one of the highlights of the summer season in southwest Alberta and it is a great reason to get out and enjoy the beauty of the Castle area.
