It’s been a deadly winter for Alberta motorists. Calgary MLA Manmeet Bhullar was struck and killed by a semi on the QE2 Highway north of Red Deer after stopping to help another motorist on November 23rd. Bhullar was standing at the side of the road when he was hit and his death illustrates just how vulnerable people are when they are outside of their vehicles on icy roads.
Montana Highway Patrol, meanwhile, recently released harrowing dash-cam footage of a series of crashes from December 28, 2014. Somehow everyone in this disturbing video survived – including crash victims and first responders who were roadside during this dramatic scene. Please use caution and slow down when you get behind the wheel this winter. And keep an eye out for first responders at crash scenes – their safety depends on you!
