Okotoks Dawgs - DSC_3443The Okotoks Dawgs (17-15) started off their Eastern swing with an 8-2 victory over the Weyburn Beavers (13-19) on Monday night. The Dawgs executed each facet of the game to earn their second straight victory and move into 2nd place in the Western Division.

Connor Lillis-White (University of British Columbia) struggled a little bit early on, but was able to settle in and earn himself a quality start. Shaun Meyer then took the ball in the 7th and was absolutely lights out as he threw 3 scoreless giving up only 2 hits.

The Dawgs offense was firing on all cylinders as three players had themselves a multi-hit game. Ellis Kelly (Lamar Community College) lead the charge with 3 hits and 2 runs batted in, Scott Hoyt (Colorado State University- Pueblo) also had 2 runs batted in to go along with his 2 hits and Brendan Rose (University of British Columbia) added 2 hits with a run batted in.
