“Instead of affirming the long standing position by the Alberta government to protect choice, they played politics with a simply worded motion.
“The fact is, charter, independent and home education options play a critical role in our education system. They are not only viable and effective alternatives for families, but improve overall outcomes, and make our system stronger.
“We are further upset that a ruling on an amendment to the opposition motion in question, Motion 504, was distributed prior to debate on the amendment, demonstrating a disrespect of all members in the house.
“Wildrose unequivocally opposes the NDP playing politics with our education system.”
