Cold Weather Brings Calls of Desperation from Those Who Serve the Homeless in Calgary

The Calgary Drop-in Centre put out a call for donations when the cold weather depleted all their supplies. They are in need of gently used warm clothing, mitts, hats and boots as well as new underwear.

They had a surprise visit from the Flames Foundation with a truckload of donations on Tuesday.

“We just received $5000 worth of coats, boots, new underwear, and MORE from the Flames Foundation!!!! Thank you everyone who has been donating warm items today. We are still in desperate need but every donation makes a world of difference (especially when they are by the truckful!)”
