Cochrane, Alta. – During a recent investigation, Cochrane RCMP recovered hundreds of stolen items. Many of the items were returned to their rightful owners; however some of the property has yet to be identified. The property is connected to multiple break-and-enter thefts that occurred between June 15 and Aug. 28, 2015 in the Cochrane, Didsbury, Airdrie and Strathmore areas.
“A break and enter is a very traumatic experience for victims and we don’t always recover what has been stolen,” said Sergeant Jeff Campbell, Cochrane RCMP, “But in this case, we’ve made a significant discovery and we really want to reunite those property owners with their things.”
The hundreds of items recovered include jewellery, watches, coins, computer equipment and electronics. The Cochrane RCMP is asking those who have had their homes broken into in these areas to view the photos on the Alberta RCMP Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/RCMPinAlberta
Those who can positively identify their belongings, and can provide information to support these claims, such as a police file number, serial numbers or any other means that can positively identify the items as theirs, are asked to contact the Cochrane RCMP at 403-851-8000.
