Two Vehicle Collision on Highway 1A West of Cochrane
Cochrane, AB – Today, at approximately 11:15 a.m. the Cochrane RCMP responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 1A at approximately the Grand Valley road west of Cochrane. The collision was between a pick up truck and a mini van. One occupant of the van sustained undetermined injuries. The driver of the pick up truck did not sustain any injuries. Traffic was temporarily slowed down on highway 1A eastbound and westbound, while the disabled vehicles were removed from the highway.
This collision is still under investigation however, it is believed that icy roads and reduced visibility due to blowing snow were factors in this collision.
