Cochrane, AB – On May 5th, 2016 at 1:40 p.m., Cochrane RCMP responded to a report of a deceased male at a remote location near the intersection of Highway 22 and Highway 8, near Cochrane. There were indications the deceased male had been there for some time, including, he was clothed for winter weather conditions. The RCMP Forensic Identification Section and Cochrane RCMP attended the scene and conducted an examination. The scene was later released, and an autopsy was scheduled for the next day.
The autopsy started on May 6th, 2016 and based on preliminary findings the RCMP Major Crimes Unit was called to assist in the investigation. Major Crimes is working in conjunction with Cochrane RCMP and the Calgary Medical Examiner’s office in order to determine the cause and manner of death.
The deceased was identified as Sehyun Edmund Lim who also goes by Edmund Lim. He is 19 years old and was a resident of Calgary, Alberta.
RCMP Major Crimes is looking for information that can assist in tracking the movements of Sehyun Edmund Lim since January 21, 2016. Sehyun Edmund Lim was last known to be in the Calgary area.
