At 1:50pm, yesterday, Cochrane RCMP and EMS were called to the Stoney Nakoda Resort on Highway 40 and highway 1, for a 26 year old male from Red Deer, that had been stabbed in the arms and legs.  The male was transported to the hospital via ground EMS, in stable, but serious condition.  No suspects have been identified at this time and  a motive for the assault is unknown. As it is early in the investigation, RCMP is review security footage from the Resort and is requesting that the two older couples that helped the victim into the Resort, contact the Cochrane RCMP. The RCMP is also asking the public to be on the look out for a vehicle of interest, a Grey 2007 Chevrolet Silverado with the Alberta Plate BRS3960. If the vehicle is spotted your ask not to approach and to call your local police or RCMP Detachment.
