Cochrane, AB – Single Vehicle MVC Hit Power Lines

On June 29th around 13:30hrs, Cochrane RCMP responded to a single vehicle MVC,where  dumptruck lost control traveling east bound at Springbank Rd and Range Rd. 35.  The vehicle struck a power pool causing the power line to come down onto the dump truck, trapping the male driver inside.  EMS, Rockyview and Redwood Meadows Fire are on scene as well as Fortis.  Male occupant, is still in vehicle awaiting Fortis to cut the power.  Traffic is being re-routed to Hwy 22. Springbank Rd. is closed at the moment between Range Rd 35 and 40.RCMP is still investigating the cause of the collision but sped and alcohol are not believed to be a factor.
