Today, 2015-09-29, at approximately 0845 hrs, Cochrane RCMP responded to a complaint of a tractor/trailer rollover at the exit ramp from Highway 1 onto Highway 22. EMS and Rockyview Fire also attended the scene.
The tractor/trailer unit was travelling east on Highway 1 and took the exit ramp to head south onto Highway 22. The driver of the unit advised that the trailer shifted and the whole unit went into the median, flipping on its side. No other vehicles were involved in the collision. The cargo (Fresh BC produce) slipped out of the trailer. There were three occupants in the tractor unit and they suffered minor injuries but were taken to hospital as a precaution.
Highway traffic was not disrupted as the entire tractor/trailer unit and contents were off the road and arrangements are being made to remove the unit.
This collision is still under investigation by Cochrane RCMP members.
