Closing in on the Provincial Leadership Election

Messages from the Candidates:

Jim Prentice

Jim PrenticeWe have less than a month until the vote for the leadership of our Party.

Your involvement is critical. Our province is at a crossroads. We have great opportunity ahead that can only be seized if we have the right leadership and a return to good government. Help me accomplish this by renewing your PC membership today.

If you want to know more about why I’m running please watch this video.

I have been sharing my vision for our province. It’s a vision of renewal. It’s about capitalizing on the Alberta opportunity and keeping Alberta strong. And it starts now.

But I can’t do it without your help.

That’s why I’m asking personally for your support, by becoming a member and joining my team today.

If you’ve already renewed your membership, tell your network and have them renew their membership today.

I know we can do this together.

websiteWireframeChallenging times call for strong leadership.

We have much work to do to regain the trust of Albertans. Our bosses expect and deserve no less from their elected representatives.

As elected officials, we must remember every single day that we are only here to serve the taxpayers of Alberta. In my statement last week on the Auditor General’s report I stated that, if elected as PC leader and Premier in September, I will ensure all of the recommendations are implemented as quickly as possible.

I am even more convinced of the need to end the culture of entitlement, including insider thinking, inside tracks for contracts and lobbying, and made that commitment when I announced my campaign in early May. I’m the one candidate in this race with a proven track record of ending entitlements.

Please email me at and let me know the issues that are most important to you.

Thomas Lukaszuk

Thomas LukaszukWe must earn back Albertans’ trust, and we do that by being trustworthy.

Throughout this campaign, I have called for an open, public debate. Debates are your proof candidates are giving the same answers from Aetna to Zama City, and that competing stakeholder groups all get the same promises. I also encourage news reporters to attend meetings and ask me questions, so there is a public record.

I’m always ready to take your questions, hear what you have to say, and explain my old record and new ideas. Sometimes you won’t like the answer … but I am proud to give the same answer no matter where you live.

Tuesday, August 12th, I’ll be having a rally in Calgary at the Polish Centre (3015 – 15 Street NE) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. It would be great to talk to you!

Note: You must be a member of the PC Party of Alberta to cast a vote.
