New community profile released to attract economic investment
As part of its ongoing effort to attract economic investment in the region, the City of Leduc released a new community profile to showcase why Leduc is Where the World Lands.

Conveniently located at the crossroads of air, highway and rail transportation, the City of Leduc is a growing, dynamic city in the heart of Canada’s economic engine.
Leduc is favoured with a strong economy, continuing growth and a bright future. With a five-year average growth rate of 5.8 per cent, a young and highly-skilled workforce, and a convenient location along the CANAMEX Trade Corridor (Highway 2) that is also minutes from the Edmonton International Airport (EIA), Leduc is an important economic, cultural and tourism hub within the capital region.

• $2.1 billion in building permits issued over the past 10 years
• 32 per cent population growth from 2009-2014
• 96 per cent of citizens have ranked Leduc as having a high quality of life
• Lowest non-residential tax rates in the Capital Region
• Lowest average home prices in the region
