Centre Street to be reduced to one lane of traffic

HIGH RIVER, AB: Centre Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic at the railway crossing north of the Centre Street Bridge (near Gas King) starting Saturday, June 6 (weather dependent). Flag persons will be onsite directing traffic.

Crews will be removing the railway ties and repaving the road as part of the Town’s infrastructure replacement program. As part of the program railway crossings along and parallel to Centre Street will be removed in the coming weeks.

Work is anticipated to take approximately two days to complete. There may be an intermittent closure later in the week to complete paving.

Drivers and pedestrians are asked to use caution when travelling through this area, obey posted signs, and watch for heavy trucks and equipment.
