Soup Sisters: Celebrating 10 Years of Ladling Up the Love

This year we celebrate 10 years of soup-making and delivering ‘hugs in a bowl’ to families in crisis nationwide.
Soup Sisters began on March 3, 2009 in Calgary with 30 girlfriends and a soup-making birthday party. Since that time, with the support of thousands of volunteer soup-makers we have poured $12 million of fresh soup into the economy and warmed hearts one bowl at a time.
A warm cup of kindness comes in many forms.
National Soup it Forward Day on March 3 encourages us to deliver
love and kindness by the bowlful!
HOW TO OBSERVE
Make up your favourite soup and deliver it to someone you know who could use the warmth of kindness in their life. Use #HugInABowl and #SoupItForwardDay to share on social media.
Or, get together in the camaraderie of the Soup Sisters kitchen and join one of our soup-making events taking place nationwide!
Please check our website calendar to sign up for March 3
National Soup it Forward Day in your city.
In Calgary we will be celebrating with a Big Stir.
