Canmore RCMP Investigate Drowning

Canmore, Alberta – On July 14th, 2015 at approximately 4:00 p.m., Canmore RCMP responded to report of an unresponsive female after falling into the Kananaskis River during a white water rafting excursion. The victim, a 51 year old female from Singapore fell off of the raft and was submerged in the water for short period of time. She was pulled out of the water and back on the raft, the victim soon went into medical distress. CPR was immediately initiated by other individuals on the raft. Emergency Medical Services took over and transported the victim the a Hospital in Calgary where she was pronounced deceased. RCMP continue to investigate.
