Ottawa – Throughout the month of August, approximately 4,600 reservists from the Canadian Army’s four divisions will be training in several areas throughout Canada. The training, often located in challenging locations, is to be focused on enhancing military skills such as reacting to direct and indirect fire, operating command posts, tactical movement, and warfighting in day and night conditions.
Summer exercises are designed to provide challenging field training opportunities for soldiers and junior leaders of the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves. These training exercises aim to further refine the Canadian Army’s operational capabilities in various types of situations and environments.
Exercises like NOBLE GUERRIER (2nd Canadian Division), STALWART GUARDIAN (4th Canadian Division), WESTERN DEFENDER (3rd Canadian Division), and STRIDENT TRACER (5th Canadian Division) allow reservists to maintain a high level of readiness, ensuring the Canadian Army is always ready to support domestic and international operations.
