Campaign Connects Albertans to Public Agency Opportunities

The Government of Alberta has launched a public information campaign so people across the province can find, track and easily apply for positions available on provincial agencies, boards and commissions.

The “Your Province, Your Voice” campaign is designed to bring a greater diversity of ideas that truly reflect our province. It will help connect potential candidates to the new Alberta Boards recruitment process, including the website, where Albertans can register and apply for opportunities with public agencies.

The campaign will include radio, online, library, print and social-media advertising. This mix of mass media and targeted elements ensures that information about public agency opportunities reaches a diverse range of Albertans, including such under-represented groups as women and ethnic minorities.

The campaign budget is set at $1 million and includes all media and creative production costs. It will run until the end of this year.

This is the newest initiative in the government’s commitment to improving Alberta’s agencies, boards and commissions and ensuring maximum value for taxpayer dollars. A review launched last fall has so far resulted in the amalgamation or dissolution of 26 public agencies, saving $33 million over three years.
