ReggaeFest is just around the corner. ARE YOU READY?! Everything starts on Thursday, August 13 with a noon hour performance on Stephen Avenue Walk and and Evening Presentation at Cardel Theatre. The main event takes place at Shaw Millenium Park.
Line Up change for Saturday, August 15 – Due to an injury preventing travel, we regret to announce that Taj Weekes is unable to make his ReggaeFest debut. But have no fear, we’ve added two more exciting acts to the line up — dubbed “Canada’s Festival King”, Kafinal from Toronto and Calgary’s own Dubwise!!
Still need tickets? Get them in advance and save! Available online or at Heritage Music and Posters (1502 – 11 Avenue SW) – check www.ReggaeFest.ca for all the details. And don’t forget, an advance ticket for Saturday’s show gets you into Friday’s show absolutely FREE!
Remember the H2O Water Buggy will be on site on Saturday – Please bring your own refillable water bottle and fill up as needed at the water station. You’ll need to stay hydrated as the current forecast is calling for temperatures in the 20’s!!
Irie Draws are back for 2015 – Tickets are just $5 each and you have a chance to win one of four great prizes. Get your tickets on site at the Information Tent. Draw will be made on Saturday, August 15.
Gates Open – Friday 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Saturday 12:00 noon – 10:00 pm
Remember to Bring – Cash, ID, Sun Protection (glasses, lotion, hat, umbrella), refillable water bottle, folding festival chairs and/or a blanket, hand sanitizer (port-a-potties are a must for Festivals…), a positive attitude and your Dancing Shoes – ’cause the ReggaeFest Performers are guaranteed to get you up and moving!
Where to Park – or may we suggest you Ride your Bike or take the Train! Parking is limited around Shaw Millennium Park – please follow the parking regulations to avoid disappointment after a great ReggaeFest Experience. The LRT runs right by the ReggaeFest site – the nearest stop is DT West / Kerby. A Bike Lock Up is available at the main entrance for those who would like to pedal their way to the festival.
Still want more??? After Party alert!! — If you’re still feeling the Reggae vibes after Saturday’s final mainstage act, you can catch The Steadies and guests at the Nite Owl (213 – 10 Avenue SW). Cost is $10 at the door, or only $5 if you’re sporting your ReggaeFest wristband.
We would like to send out a HUGE thank you to our Partners and Funders! If you have an opportunity to support or work with these amazing organizations you are very lucky!
