Calgary Police Update on Missing Calgary Family

Calgary Police Chief Rick Hansen called a press conference this afternoon to confirm an arrest has been made in the missing persons’ case of Nathan O’Brien and his grandparents, Alvin and Kathy Liknes.

The police believe they are dealing with a murder although the bodies have not been recovered. They are preparing to lay two charges of first-degree murder and one of second-degree murder.

The name of the suspect will not be released because he has yet to appear before a justice of the peace.
