Calgary Police Service Update: Missing Persons Investigation – July 11, 2014


CSP-Logo-prvJuly 11, 2014 – Officers searching for evidence in the disappearance of Nathan O’Brien and his grandparents, Kathryn and Alvin Liknes, will resume their work at the Spyhill Landfill today.

The search for the missing family is now in its 12th day. Yesterday, officers completed their search of the East Calgary Landfill. A decision on whether to search the remaining Calgary landfill, Shepard, will be made at a later date.

Search teams continue to look for any evidence that may help with the investigation.

Additional search teams, in partnership with the RCMP, continue to cover a large area in and around a property in Airdrie in connection to the investigation. Officers are going door to door at neighbouring acreages asking residents to do a thorough check of their properties. Rural property owners, including businesses, are asked to please do the same.
