Calgary Flames coming to High River

Field_House_outsideHIGH RIVER, AB: Several players from the Calgary Flames will be heading to High River to practice drills and play a fun game with local minor hockey players on Friday, Jan. 30.

“We are really excited to be bringing this event back for another year and can’t wait to see some of our local hockey players skating alongside the Calgary Flames,” said Cynthia Farrow, community program supervisor for the Town.

The event will start at 6 p.m. at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex arena. A few of the Calgary Flames and local minor hockey players will hit the ice for drills and a scrimmage game. Free hot chocolate and autograph session will follow, as well as free photo booth from ENMAX.

Due to the forecasted warm weather, outdoor winter activities planned for Saturday, Jan. 31 at Emerson Lake have been postponed until February 28. Details about the rescheduled event will be provided in the coming weeks.
