
The Polar Plunge – Calgary challenged people to bravely jump into Arbour Lake. It’s a great way for everyone—individuals, organizations and businesses—to get involved in supporting Special Olympics Alberta.
This chilling event happens only once a year! Calgary kicked off the annual polar plunge on February 23rd.
Plungers must raise a minimum of $75 to jump to frozen glory, and can raise additional funds to earn extra incentives along the way. If you raise at least $250 you will receive flip flops and a Polar Plunge towel. Raise at least $750 and you’ll receive flip flops, a Polar Plunge towel and a Polar Plunger Under Armour duffle bag.

Airdrie RCMP participate in Polar Plunge
Airdrie, Alta – On February 23, 2019, 6 brave RCMP officers from the Airdrie RCMP detachment plunged into one of Calgary’s icy lakes in support of the Special Olympics.
Cst Cory Schultz of Airdrie RCMP was named the top fundraiser for Law Enforcement, raising $805 for the cause. And the team is just shy of being the top fundraising team, raising a total of $2830.00 to date.
