Boys and Girls Club of Diamond Valley Host Capital One Race for Kids


Capital One Race for Kids™ is an urban, adventure race where participants have a chance to return to the best adventures of childhood, all while raising funds for all kids to have the same opportunity. In 30+ communities across Canada, teams of four will compete in a series of 10 Checkpoints in a race to the finish line. Checkpoints are designed to focus the mind and challenge the body. Capitol One Race for Kids 1The Boys & Girls Club of Diamond Valley is excited to announce the Capital One Race for Kids is coming to High River on June 6th, 2015. All proceeds from the race will go towards your local Boys and Girls Club to support critical programs and services for children and youth living in your community. For more information about the Boys & Girls Club of Diamond Valley: We need your help High River to make this race a great success. We are looking for community minded businesses, organizations and people to partner with.

CHECKPOINT SPONSORS: You and your organization volunteer to set up a checkpoint station, have race participants complete a challenge, give them a stamp and send them on their way. 3-5 volunteers are needed at each checkpoint station, but more are welcome too. Checkpoint examples include: three legged races, build a tower out of spaghetti and marshmallows, hula hooping, hopscotch, puzzles, pasta toss, obstacle course – the possibilities are endless!!

VOLUNTEERS: We need several volunteers to help us run this event smoothly.

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: We are looking for businesses who are interested in providing food, drinks and prizes to teams who participate in the race at the after party. Your logo will appear on the local website and race promotional material.

RACE PARTICIPANTS: Teams of 4 adults register as a team, $10/per person registration fee and $360 per team fundraising is required.
