Meet the Candidates
Candidate for Mayor – Glen Fagan
I am married with adult children. I have lived in Black Diamond for 8½ years. Presently, I am employed as a Director with Dixon Networks. However, I will soon be reducing my involvement to part time consulting. I have over 35 years’ experience in the telecom industry in engineering, regional manager and director level roles. I have been responsible for operational, maintenance and capital budgets in excess of $4 million and capital build programs to $100 million. Over the last 18 months, I have been involved with the BD Concerned Tax Payers Group working to reduce residential taxation in our town. I have attended council, budget, committee or the whole and subcommittee meetings. Together with the group I represent, I have organized several highly successful community engagement meetings to share information, gather your input and hear your concerns. I believe that my business experience, community involvement and personal commitment to engaging council over the last 18 months has put me in the best position to represent this community as mayor.
