The Town and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 291 Okotoks are hosting a public event to recognize the Canadian troops who fought at the battle of Vimy Ridge on April 9th, 1917. A special march starts at 6pm from the Elks Hall (62 Elizabeth St.) and proceeds to the Cenotaph for a brief Remembrance Ceremony before heading back to the Elks Hall for an informal reception. All citizens of Okotoks are encouraged to attend this event of recognition and proudly fly Canadian flags in remembrance.
