The Griffith Centre in Black Diamond is once again hosting a beautiful showing of quilts and serving up tea. Drop by on Saturday, October 18th from 1 to 4pm to take in this event. There will also be door prizes for some lucky attendees!
Pictured here are two quilts from last year’s show. One of the organizers, Elinor Melnyk, told us that both these quilts went to the Children’s Hospital, Psychiatric Ward, in Calgary. Children in the hospital are shown three quilts and given a choice at one to keep. For some children it is the first time they have had something that is theirs alone. Doesn’t that give you a nice warm feeling?
