AMA: Wiper Blades 101

Snow, slush and ice can wreak havoc on your visibility, making winter wiper blades essential. “The advantage of winter blades is their ability to resist snow and ice buildup,” says Mark Jones, senior market manager, NAPA Canada. The rubber on winter blades is designed for extreme weather conditions, and their heavier frames push away ice and snow more easily. Winter blades also have fewer small moving parts that can freeze up, Jones explains. Thankfully, wiper blades feature a simple connecting system that makes DIY installation a snap.
