AMA donates more than $100,000 in toys and food to Alberta charities

16050636865_0569a9cc34_mEdmonton –Thanks to the help of members, employees and the public, the Alberta Motor Association (AMA) donated more than 78 pallet boxes full of toys and food to local charities across Alberta during our Fill Our Fleet campaign.

Fill Our Fleet is AMA’s third-annual province-wide Christmas collection campaign aimed at filling AMA’s fleet with toys and food for local charities. Donations were loaded onto our fleet at AMA centres across the province on Friday, December 12, and donated to local charities in time for a Christmas delivery.

“We are incredibly touched by the generosity displayed by our employees, members and the communities we serve,” said Jane Flower, VP of Marketing. “AMA employees and members believe in the importance of giving back to help make the holidays a little more heart-warming for everyone.”

15864601679_b4de601256_mAMA accepted donations of unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items at all AMA locations across Alberta between November 17 and December 12. We’re thrilled that we were able to exceed our goal this year (of 70 pallet boxes) by filling more than 78 pallet boxes from donations and through the purchase of $100,000 in food and toys from the proceeds of AMA’s gift membership sales.
