We have a new Chief Sheriff in town. An Assumption of Command ceremony was held August 25th to honour Lee Newton as he took over as Chief Sheriff this year. The Justice and Solicitor General Pipes and Drums, Sheriffs Honour Guard, colleagues, family, friends and members from law enforcement agencies throughout Alberta were in attendance. We also bid farewell to former Chief Rick Taylor. (Alberta Sheriffs)
